As long as you are in business, you will always deal with angry customers. This experience is enough to drive you crazy if you are not careful. When you are faced with an angry customer, FIRST focus on acknowledging the feelings and upset of the customer. Once the customer starts to calm down as a result of having his or her feelings recognized, THEN move to solving the problem. You’ll find that this will save you a lot of time and energy.

It is good to be back. This past one week has been a great challenge for me. My web host - Nairahost - the coy I run with 2 other people got our license revoked due to spam and fraudulent activities. Our servers were taken offline even before we saw the email message from our data centre. It was not a funny experience. But I am glad we are back.

This experience has taught me several things about the customer relations. On several occassions, I received treat via SMS and I keep wondering to myself what I had done to deserve this. Anyway, it is a great experience and I will be sharing some of the lessons I have learnt on the next few days.

When an hour of time is wasted, one hour of life is wasted! So many people have mastered the art of their trade. Some even understand the basics involved in budgeting money, but have not learned to budget time. The ironic part about this idea is that you buy money with your time.

Life is often what happens to you along the way when you have planned otherwise because there are time wasters out there to throw you off the track. Always have it in mind that your performance may not always match your intentions. It is important that you prepare for what lies ahead. You have to work out a way to increase your productivity each day.

Time is the great equalizer for all of us. We all have 24 hours in a day, 7 days a week, yielding 168 hours per week. Always remember that everybody has the same twenty - four hours. How come some people are able to amass fortunes with their time, while others barely accomplish the essentials of life? Observing people from different walks of life, one common thread seems to separate the winners from the losers in the accomplishment arena. Winners have learnt to organize their time and resources to achieve their objectives, while the rest are just endeavoring to get organized. A young man once boasted that he could walk on water. Everybody in the village was actually surprised not only because they believed it would be an impossible task for the guy but also because nobody had done it before.

The fact that nobody has done it before does not mean that it can not be done.

The man went ahead to fix a date when he would be able to show everybody that he could actually walk on water. The deal day came and to everybody’s surprise, the man walked on water. The village head, then, called the man and asked him how he was able to achieve this feat considering the fact that the river is deep. What the man said shocked everybody…
