This is to announce that there would be a 5mins Power Interruption tomorrow between 7pm and 8pm.

You think I am dreaming… Any which way, that is definitely the picture of Nigeria in the not-too-distant future. Power Holding Corporation of Nigeria - PHCN - (formerly NEPA) would not only give premonition of power outage but would also ensure that our streets gleam with bitumen. Nigerian able-bodied men would choose the type of work they will do, the disabled would live without having to beg. Nigerians shall have surplus that we would initiate Immigration Programs (VISA lottery et al) to bring in some of the best brains in the world to our land. At least, the country would benefit richly from this exercise as their would be opportunity for knowledge and technology transfer.

You know what? Our brothers and sisters overseas shall come back home not out of ill-luck or failure but because they would be left out of civilisation if they fail to do so. Nigerians shall not ride Okada for a living but Power Bikes for formula one. Nobody would seek to hold on to their work or position but shall look forward to retirement because it would be sweater. On a lighter mood, Nigerian doctors would be able to do Tummy Tuck at our Community Health Centres…
